Pampa and Hanuman's First Meeting with Rama
Rama reaches the beautiful Pampa region while still overwhelmed by separation from Sita. Sugriva, living in fear of Vali on Rishyamukha, notices the two armed strangers and sends Hanuman to learn who they are.
Hanuman approaches Rama and Lakshmana carefully and speaks with such clarity that Rama immediately recognizes his intelligence, discipline and command of language.
Lakshmana explains their story. Hanuman reveals his connection to Sugriva and becomes the bridge through which Rama's search for Sita enters a new political and devotional world.
